Autovintage came about by two friends that have a passion for cars.

Salvatore first found his passion for cars when he started his mechanical apprenticeship in 1973 in Sunshine working on many different cars, Serafino’s passion for cars came about while he commenced his apprenticeship as a panel beater in Italy in 1963.

As time went on in 1988 Salvatore took part in a car franchise/dealership in Footscray and worked there for 20 years, he loved being around cars and seeing models change over the years.

Serafino stayed in the car industry working as a panel beater for 30 years with 15 years working at  

McIntyre Auto Repairs. 

Salvatore has great interest in modern cars, but in reality Salvatore’s heart knew there was something missing. The real passion and adoration was Italian vintage cars.

It was 3 years ago Salvatore and Serafino came together over a glass of wine and started their new adventures to import Italian vintage cars to Australia, after a lot of hard work and late nights their dream became a reality with their first shipment of Vintage Italian cars hitting the Australian shores in June 2016.
