Super Alpine 500 2nd Edition 2021 (NSW) *CANCELLED*

Starts: Thursday, 15 July 2021, 7:00 am Ends: Sunday, 18 July 2021, 5:00 pm

The Super Alpine 500 returns for the 2nd Edition in 2021.

Offering classic car owners the opportunity to enjoy their pride of joy and then some incredible on-mountain skiing and aprés, the second edition of the Super Alpine 500 will take place on the 15th - 18th July.

The 500 Kilometre journey from Sydney to Thredbo takes drivers and navigators across ten (10) challenging checkpoints that are required to be solved before the next one is revealed.

There are a range of trophies to be won, including the ‘Can’t Believe You Made It Here’ award and the ‘Best Alpine Styled Vehicle’ on top of the ‘Overall Winner’ and ‘Checkpoint Completion’ that will be awarded at the mid-mountain Presentation Lunch presented by Mumm Champagne.

Open to all pre-1991 classic cars (with a lean towards European makes), the event brings friends, family and car enthusiasts together for a weekend of enjoyable driving and alpine adventure.

The drive will take entrants through Canberra to enjoy a lunch event at Pialligo Estate before setting off to Cooma for an overnight stay. The morning will have entrants embark on the most challenging part of the rally between Cooma and the final checkpoint within the Thredbo Alpine Resort, where the teams will enjoy mid-mountain long lunches en-piste, whisky tastings, and a retro-themed ‘First Base’ party as the final event.

The tour features a procession of the finest classic and contemporary sports-car marques including McLaren, Aston Martin, Porsche, Ferrari, Maserati, Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Mercedes and Audi to traverse the 500 Kilometre journey.

General entrants must register with full insurance, a love for alpine adventure and bring a sense of humour wherever the road takes them.
