EVENT POSTPONED - Updated COVID-19 impact on 2020 HeartKids Hillclimb:

From the SDMA Club President: After considering advice and directions from the Federal Government, the ACT Government and Motorsport Australia (formerly CAMS), SDMA and HeartKids, we have agreed to postpone the HeartKids Hillclimb scheduled for Sunday 5 April at Canberra Hillclimb, Fairbairn Park.

The impacts and risks of the COVID-19 virus are too great and too severe for competitors, officials and spectators for the event to continue in the present environment.

Subject to improvement in the overall COVID-19 situation and also the Environment Protection Authority agreeing to reassign the 5 April noise credits, we hope to reschedule the HeartKids Hillclimb later in the year.

We have taken this decision after considering the potential consequences to club members and the general community if COVID-19 were to spread further as a result of the event going ahead.

We regret that we have had to cancel the event, but know that it is the right decision in the circumstances.
