Details to comeThe 21st Early Falcon Nationals Barossa Valley 2021 POSTPONED UNTIL 2022

Here we go again, Covid has showed it’s ugly face. I'm extremely disappointed and frustrated but we have no choice but to postpone the 21st Early Falcon Nationals again moving it to 2022.

Members from our committee here in South Australia met with representatives from the Victorian and New South Wales clubs through a Zoom meeting this week, to discuss the current Australian Covid climate and what this means for our national event. With the current situation in New South Wales still at its worst, the government officials have said the borders are likely to remain closed to NSW for much of the rest of the year, which will rule out our NSW members from attending this year completely. Sadly, the South Australian borders are also currently closed off to Victoria and Queensland, so with only 9 weeks to go it isn't looking good for our interstate guests to be able to attend, and as this is a national event it is important that everyone across Australia has the opportunity to enter.

We are currently working on a new date for 2022 and plan to have that announcement early next week so please look out for that.

I have already spoken with the Barossa Discovery Park, where most of our entrants have booked their accommodation, they have advised they are happy for our entrants, who have booked with them, to move their booking dates to next year, they just require each entrant to call them to change the dates, so you need to do this yourself as soon as possible after the new date has been announced.

* Any current entrants, please be assured your entry will still be honoured and roll over to next year.

* If any current entrant would like a refund, we are happy to provide that, please contact us so we can get this processed for you.

Also discussed in the meeting this week was the issue that moving the event from 2020 to 2021 meant there were small price increases on some things, as organisers we had decided to cover this ourselves, but we are unable to do it again for the move from 2021 to 2022 if the prices are to go up again so please be advised that all new entries for next year may have a small increase for some items.

We appreciate your patience and understanding in these difficult times.

Thinking positively this will give us all extra time to get our builds complete and hopefully make next year the biggest turn out ever seen.
