Aeroflow Outlaw Nitro funny cars and Palmyra Dragway are pleased to announce the Aeroflow Outlaw Nitro Funny Cars “Nitro Showdown” on October 1st.
Featuring 8 flame throwing Nitro burning Funny cars as well as the popular Nitro Sheriff Wheel stander at the iconic Queensland facility. With a full field of support classes including super comp through to junior dragster this will be an event not to miss.
Headlining the Funny car show will be the Aeroflow Outlaw Nitro Funny car record holder Brandon Gosbell in King Kong. “We can’t wait to get up to Mackay and put on a show for the local crowd, we will run at 4pm, 6pm and 8pm so we are looking forward to putting on some nitro flames’ claimed an excited Gosbell. While this is event is all about putting on a show for the crowd Brandon wasn’t shy in letting everyone know he is still there to win, “Look priority one is putting on a show for the crowd, but let me tell you we will be there to take home the no1 trophy”
Palmyra Dragway President Glenn Cunningham was equally excited about the event for both the track and local economy, the club with the support of Mackay Regional Council and both Federal and State governments have been able to complete the upgrades required to bring this type of motorsport event back to the Mackay region. This will be an unmissable day of entertainment for motorsport fans of all types from all around our area, at a friendly regional facility that will be supported by lots of local businesses to make it a day to remember for all that attend.
