For our November Run, on 8/11 we thought we’d organise a tour of the Henry Royce Foundation in Coolum, followed by lunch at the Imperial Hotel in Eumundi.

The meeting point is Pioneer Park (Caloundra Street) in Landsborough at 9am. We’ll have a Meeting and some Morning Tea here before making our way to the Foundation. Morning Tea is BYO and don’t forget a chair to sit on !. As we are all starting our journey from different places you will need to work out your own travel to Pioneer Park. I will hand out directions to the Museum and the Lunch Venue at our Meeting Place.

The Foundation is expecting us at 11am and it’s a lovely collection of cars and engines. We will be given a Guided Tour by the Trustee Frank Carroll and he uses a Portable PA System to give a clear and excellent talk about what’s in the Museum. He is also the Czech Honorary Consul for Queensland and if you are interested in learning a bit more about the Czech Republic, I am sure Frank would be happy to answer your questions. So as not to break the flow of his talk Frank will ask/allow for time at the end of the presentation for questions so I would ask that we keep this in mind.

There is room to sit down and enjoy a cup of coffee while you are there and each visitor is being asked to make a gold coin donation to the Foundation.

The Imperial Hotel is expecting us at 1pm and they will be setting aside an area just for us. Its normal Pub food - order and pay at the counter.
