Cruise against violence against women (Vic)

Starts: Saturday, 01 February 2020, 7:00 pm Ends: Saturday, 01 February 2020, 10:00 pm

On average one woman a week is killed in an act of violence, 8 out of 10 women have been harassed on our streets within the last year. Everyone has the right to feel safe in their homes, public places, on transport and on our streets, as a community we need to stand united against this kind of behaviour, we need to work together to show that we will no longer tolerate our streets being unsafe. For many years Victoria has been known as the place to be, Melbourne the most liveable city in the world for 7 years running. Let’s work together, stand together to make our streets safe again. Please join us in a family friendly event to remember those whose lives have been taken, those whose lives have been destroyed by violence. Gold coin donations will help raise much needed money for the White Ribbon Foundation.

Starting off at A Lott Donuts in Somerton where you will be able to grab a coffee, provide donations, have a chat and take some photos of the cars, then we will head off around 12pm for a nice drive via Kinglake through to Sugarloaf Reserve for a stop to take some pictures and take a moment of silence for all the women we have lost through violence and for all the families affected, then continue down to our final destination St Andrews Pub for a drink and some lunch. The cruise will run for approx 2 hours depending on traffic and stops along the way.

NO HOONING WILL BE TOLERATED.
Hope to see you all there, and thank you for being patient with the organisation of this event xx
