Hey guys!

Well that time of the year has come and cold weather is upon us, luckily many of us are blessed to have a warm bed to sleep in, comfy clothes, heaters and just the everyday necessities that we’d take for granted if we didn’t have them.

Sadly so many do not. With some sleeping in there cars, no beds, no warm clothes, no toiletries or even showers and not even a decent warm meal!

So I know when I put this call out, I’m doing it the right place because I believe there’s no better community than the car community and I know they are always willing to help

Hawkesbury's Helping Hands is a non for profit organization dedicated to feeding and caring for the homeless in the hawkesbury and western Sydney region, Linda and the crew do a amazing job day in and day out caring for the local communities and they need more help this winter, so I reached out said WE GOT YOU GUYS!

So Sunday 16th of July we’ll be organizing a “winter drive” appeal and giving a HUGE helping hand to HAWKESBURYS HELPING HANDS!

The following items are in much much need and I’m personally asking you guys to lend a helping hand with the following-

Non-perishable food items, torches, batteries

Power banks for phones, new pillows, socks and underwear, car shades, swags and sleeping bags, oodles, clean rip tear and stain free blankets, comforters, doonas, and doona covers, work boots and sneakers, track suit pants and hoodies and gift vouchers.

Pet food and treatments

No donation is too small, when people are goin without!

So we’ll be meeting at Wenty leagues carpark, gt western highway entry side, leaving 8am SHARP to 28 Walker st, south Windsor where we’ve organized a drop off point, and we’ll be taking the following route-

Exit left gt western highway

Left on cumberland

Left on old Windsor rd

Follow through to Windsor rd

Left at groves

Right on hawkesbury valley way

Left at Macquarie

Left into argyle

Then right onto Walker then arrive at 28 WALKER ST SOUTH WINDSOR where the volunteers from HAWKESBURYS HELPING HANDS will be there to collect, if you can’t make the cruise you can drop off donations anytime from 8am to midday

In order to not congest the street we will then continue to The Little Olive at 5/28 Laurence at Hobartville, (13 minutes away from drop off) where the amazing staff will be doing a breakfast combo deal for $15pp bacon egg roll and a coffee. Plenty of parking and seating

Apologies for the long message but it’s for a very worthy cause, and as I said before I know I’m reaching my hand out to the right people!
