It is with some disappointment that we need to run this post to all supporters of our Holden’s back Home event for 2022 that supports Variety. Due to circumstances beyond our control we have had no choice but to cancel the event coming up this November the 12th and reschedule for a new date early in 2023. We appreciate the ongoing support from all of our volunteers, entrants and spectators that take part in the Holden’s back Home event and we have tried to pull out all stops to make it happen for the November date, however there are a couple of things in the back end such as insurance for the date that we cannot control and rather than push forward with a mediocre set up on the day we have decided to hit the pause button and allow some more time for these matters to be resolved. Then there is also the fact that the motoring calander for the latter part of 2022 is chock o block events that are all competing for the same space, from Adelaide Motor Expo, Adelaide Rally, HDT/HSV show, Riverland Street Party and most recently the announcement of the Holden tribute cruise to the Velo Adelaide 500 there is clearly too much happening around this time. The last event also meant that some key display vehicles and attractions that we had pencilled in for the show had withdrawn to join the 500 party, and we really wanted them here on the day so also added weight to our decision.

For all those that have already entered and secured entry to the Variety HBH we have 2 options – we can hold your entry position and entry fee donation to Variety for the rescheduled HBH or alternatively we can cancel this and refund the donated amount. If you elect to have the entry cancelled and refund please note that this may take up to 14 days and will no longer guarantee a space for the potential February date. Please advise ASAP which option you would like.

On the upside of this we now have the opportunity to bring a couple more “unique and key displays” back to Elizabeth early next year, these attractions are something that we have always been proud of at the HBH events and have helped us create something different than your average car show.
