Friday Night Fury Burnouts at Queensland Raceway!

Octane Burnouts fires up at the infamous QR burnout pad once again!

There are LIMITED SPOTS available for these events, so get in early to secure your spot!

Gates open at 3:30 pm for entrants and Spectators with all the action kicking off from 5:00 pm on the pad.

3:30 pm – Gates open for entrants and spectators – Driver sign on at the Hi-Octane Marquee on the Spectator Hill adjacent to the burnout pad

4:45 pm – Drivers briefing at pit end of pad

5:00 pm – Burnouts commence on the burnout pad – 2 Burnouts per entrant Expression session will commence after all vehicles have completed their allocated burnouts ONLY if there is substantial time still available. The event will run until 10 pm or until 15 minutes after the last car has run, whichever comes first.

10 pm Conclusion of event

No Alcohol is permitted, and all drivers will be subject to a breath test before their burnout. If you blow over 0.00, you will be told to return to the pit area and come back later in the day to try again.

Drivers briefing takes place at 4:45 pm at the end of the pit lane and ALL DRIVERS MUST ATTEND.

Entrant information.

~Pre-Purchased driver entry – $80

~On the day Driver entry if spots are available – $120

~Minimum Entrant age – 16 years

~Entrants aged 16-18 years old – You MUST have a current Learner permit to show that you have had some driving experience before entering Octane burnouts. Your parents MUST sign on for you on the day, therefore a PARENT must be present at the event.

~Entrants 18+ – No Driver's licence is required, however, you MUST have some form of government-issued photo ID. (18+ Card, Passport etc). This is not negotiable.

~All drivers must obtain an AASA “General Speed” Annual licence or a “DAY LICENCE” to enter Octane Burnouts. You can purchase your day licence as part of your entry below. Visit https://aasa.com.au/ to purchase an annual Licence. If you purchase an annual licence, you must have your AASA licence with you and be ready to show the sign on staff at the small Hi-Octane Marquee at the top of the burnout pad spectator viewing area on the day.

~Each entrant will get 2 burnouts on the day. You may perform both burnouts at any time of your choosing. There are no group 1 and group 2 sessions, so you can do a burnout, change tyres, line up, and do your second burnout straight away. This will allow more convenience for those who don’t wish to stay for the entire day.

~At the end of the event, if we are running ahead of schedule, we will open the pad up for an expression session. Please note, that lining up for the expression session doesn’t guarantee you another burnout.

~Pro Burnout cars have the right of way at all times.

PASSENGERS – All passengers must purchase a passenger band from the ahi-Octane Marquee at the top of the spectator viewing area at the Burnout compound. The cost per band is $5. 16+ minimum age for passengers and any passengers under 18 must have their PARENT sign on for them.

ALL VEHICLES WISHING TO ENTER OCTANE BURNOUTS MUST ADHERE TO THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:

~ No Alloy wheels on the rear permitted.

~ No major damage to Bodywork. This means vehicles must be somewhat straight

~ Your vehicle MUST run a Numberplate or Novelty Plate.

~ No missing front bumpers. All plastic Bumpers must be installed. Rear Bumpers may be removed for your burnout, but all front bumpers must be installed.

~ No sharp edges anywhere on the vehicle that could catch a spectator.

~ Headlights, Brakes, Brake lights, and Indicators must work. Burnout cars must have good front brakes if rears have been omitted. This means Upgrading to stronger performance brakes to match the stopping power of 4-wheel brake systems.

~ Secure seatbelts for each seat that a passenger will occupy. Upgraded 4-point harnesses are strongly recommended for older vehicles with roll cages and/or higher horsepower output.

~No cracks in the windscreen (Small stone chips are ok).

~Your front tyres must have good tread for all events. Your rear tyre tread must be sufficient for all burnout events.

~ Battery must be secure.

~ No fuel lines or coolant hoses allowed inside the cabin occupied by the driver or passenger. Any Wagon with a fuel cell must have a firewall installed between the rear cargo area and the vehicle's passenger compartment.

~ Bonnet must always be on the car except when traveling to or from the burnout pad, and whilst on the burnout pad.

BLOWER RESTRAINTS Each supercharged car must have a Blower Restraint to SFI 14.1 or equivalent standard unless the Supercharger is fitted entirely underneath the manufacturer’s unmodified steel bonnet.


PLEASE REMEMBER:

This is a drug and alcohol-free event, and random bag and vehicle searches may be performed at random. Anyone found bringing alcohol into the venue, causing fights, or anything that Hi-Octane and/or Queensland raceway staff feel is detrimental to the fun and safety of the event, will face an instant minimum 6-month ban from any Hi-Octane and AASA Sanctioned events.

This is a family friendly event, so come along and enjoy the event and consider those around you!
