Swanpool Motor Festival is run to raise funds to upkeep the Swanpool Football oval and facilities. The Festival is a display of vehicles in a relaxed atmosphere, at the base of the High Country, with local food, drinks coffee vans, a swap meet and market stalls. We will have a live band, “Rattler” performing during the day.
Entry for the public is from 8 am $5 for adults and children under 16 free. Display vehicle entry fee is $10 (which includes entry for two adults) with the chance to share in $4000 in prizes. These prizes are donated by local businesses.
Prize allocation for display vehicles will change for 2022 with no judging. The first vehicle entry will be drawn out of a box, the owner will come up, draw his prize from another box giving EVERY OWNER the same chance of taking a prize home. The winner will then draw the next vehicle from the box and so on. Prizes are awarded at 2pm and of course the owners must be in attendance at that time to win.
At this stage we are predicting a prize pool valued at over $4000 as in the past two years the prize pool has totalled just under $4000 each year.
The 2022 Swanpool Motor Festival is possibly the only event that has been held for the past three years, despite Covid 19. Our festival has led the way with regard to motor shows by not being cancelled due to Covid or lockdowns. 2021 saw nearly 400 vehicles on the oval with a record number of motorbikes. For 2022 we are pulling out all stops. We will not be restricted to just 1000 patrons as we were last year because of Covid. The limit for 2022 is 30,000 and we will be looking to have 500 or more display vehicles.
We hope you like the changes and we hope that the response from last year’s entrants and the public in that they will be back in 2022, bringing their friends who missed 2021.
The 2022 Swanpool Motor Festival will be held on Sunday 13 March at The Albert Heaney Reserve, 2426 Midland Highway, Swanpool which is the home of the festival which has a new sign advertising the Festival. We updated the signs and we have also resown the grass on the oval which is now looking very green thanks to the wet spring season.
Come and experience our festival with cars, motorcycles, trucks, buses, race cars, boats and anything else with an engine. Spend some time relaxed, looking at the vehicles, having a bite to eat, a coffee, listening to the band at Swanpool, situated at the base of the high country.
