Sunday September 26 it’s the Waroona Vintage Machinery Rally at the showgrounds on South West Highway, Waroona.

There will be "old stuff" galore with hundreds of century-old engines and machines revving up around the oval including vintage stationery engines, cars and motorbikes, tractors and trucks plus displays of old tools, antiques and collectables (check out the Discussion tab for loads of photos).

A special inclusion this year is a restored Thistle oil engine built circa 1894 in Paisley, Glasgow, Scotland. It’s one of only two in the world and is probably the only one restored and running in Australia.

There will be plenty of collectors and enthusiasts to chat with including members of the various car clubs such as the Jaguar Car Club of WA and local club Just Cruizin’.

To top it off there will be food and coffee trucks, homemade crafts and interests, and entertainment for the kids all making for a great day out in the country.

Entry is $5 for adults and kids 9 under are free.
