Taillights!!

Every automotive era has a definite style and although one inevitably morphs into the next, one styling cue that distinguishes makes and models from each other is their taillights. 

Some taillight designs have been so popular that they have been used for many years. Fords round taillights were used on so many models that it was easy to spot a Ford just by looking at the back of it. Even easily distinguishable at night. 

And the twin bullet taillights on the soaring 59 Cadillac fins are so recognizable to this day. 

Starting out as merely a way to see cars at night, manufacturers soon realized that the design became a way for their brand to be recognized while still performing their intended purpose.
