Tarwin District Auto Festival 30/10/22

Victorias wet October really made a mess of the Melbourne Cup long weekend recently.

Plenty of events scheduled but flooded regions, road closures and unsuitable venues meant many were cancelled.

Not the case down in Tarwin Lower for the Tarwin District Auto Festival organised by the Tarwin District Auto and Machinery Club.

Surprisingly the venue held up well even though parking was entirely on the grass oval.

A smaller than expected crowd of very unique vehicles in attendance. Trucks, motorcycles, cars, stationary engines, tractors. Plenty to see on a surprisingly rare fine day.

Stalls and food vans also gave visitors a reason to stay longer to enjoy the atmosphere.

I think I’ll try to get to this one again next year.
