The recent Australian National Show and Shine in Euroa showcased an enormous amount of vehicles on one day and those on display also represented a broad range of manufacturers, models and vintages.
The car that took home the coveted “Best in Show” was a 1974 Citroen DS 23 Pallas belonging to Ramond Moscellin.
The car also took out the Rob Asquith Founders Trophy as well as Best European. A successful day for a beautifully restored vehicle.
The interesting design is quite a polarizing one for a lot of people. But the 20 year lifespan from 1955-75 meant that it was a very successful if unusual car.
As I am a Back to the Future film fan, I always find it interesting that they used a modified DS in BTTF 2 as a “future” vehicle. It says a lot about it’s unconventional design compared to its contemporaries back when it was new.
If you ever get to see one up close, have a close look at the details. A very interesting car indeed.
Congratulations to Ramon on a successful event.
