After weeks of searing heat in the 40's and a morning shower, Wagga put on a glorious afternoon for the 2019 Riverina Rumble. The Rumble is a Retro Rewind themed Oldskool Weekend and was held over 1 - 3 February in Wagga Wagga. The venue, the Wagga Beach Caravan Park located on the banks of the picturesque Murrumbidgee River, provided a rustic backdrop for the event which was most suited to some of the cars presented on the day.Gates opened to the public from 3 - 7pm and numbers were good when we arrived at 5pm. There was plenty of cars to view and enthusiastic owners to tell you a little about the pride and joy. A band was playing a great mix of blues and rock 'n' roll, and the food stalls wafted aromas around the park that would make anyone drool.My personal favourite for the day would have been the Holden EK Special Station Wagon. Not only did the have a matching coloured caravan in tow, they even brought their surfboard to make sure they had a chance of catching Wagga's famous five o'clock wave down the Murrumbidgee.I can't wait for the next years event, I may even book a cabin so I can have a beer or two and enjoy the evening with the Rumblers and the band.
