On Saturday night I checked out the Mega Charity Meet for the Victorian Bushfires hosted by the Nightlife Crew at Bunnings in Vermont South. 

First impressions mean a lot and on arrival, I noticed a huge police presence in attendance. Multiple police cars and around 25 officers. I go to a lot of car shows and rarely see any police. So after a quick chat to one of the officers, he informed me that there was some serious hoon activity at the last meet and they didn’t want that to happen again. He said 99% of the attendance last time were perfect but a few idiots spoiled it for the rest. 

Anyway, I didn’t stay too long as the crowd wasn’t really the one I’m interested in although there was an awesome gathering of MGs and Austin Healys who all parked together and made quite an impressive lineup. 

I’m glad I checked it out to support bushfire relief, but it’s probably one I’ll give a miss next time.
