One of the best things about being involved in the car scene is meeting like minded enthusiasts. 

We all share the same love and passion for our cars but sometimes it’s nice to dig a bit deeper and find out a little more. 

First up it’s Tony. I regularly see him at various cruises and shows and thought it would great to start with his awesome Mini.

◾️Name of owner - Tony Cooper

◾️Car make and model - 1978 Morris Mini Clubman S

◾️When did you get the car/how long have you had it? - I bought it about 4 years ago as a part finished project.

◾️Why do you love your car? – My first car was a Mini many years ago, and I’ve always had a soft spot for them. My car is just my baby. I love it and drive it whenever I can.

◾️What restoration/modifications have been performed on the car? – The motor is a 1275cc running a supercharger at 7 pounds boost. It’s been bench tested at 147BHP. Hi low suspension, 2.9 diff, comp clutch, aluminium flywheel.

◾️How often do you drive your car? – Before Covid-19 my Mini was out 2 or 3 times a month.

◾️Have you always been into cars, and if so what other cars have you had? - Other projects at the moment are… 1976 HJ Holden Premier, 202 and a 1976 CF Bedford Tray also running a 202 Holden motor.
