Being part of the Forward Look MoPar owners community, you get to meet lots of interesting people with some pretty spectacular cars. Lucinda and Theo are part of this community. Here’s a little info on them and their cars.

◾️Name of owner - Theo and Lucinda Vennix.
◾️Car make and model - 1958 Desoto LS2M Firedome Sportsman 2 Door Hardtop.
◾️When did you get the car/how long have you had it?
It was purchased off eBay on the 26th March 2008 from Midwest Car Exchange Alsip Illinois. It was transported in an enclosed truck from Illinios to California and was shipped out of Long Beach, arriving in Australia on June 8th 2008.
◾️Why do you love your car?
I have always loved the big finned 50’s Chrysler Corporation Products, the Desoto being the best of these in my opinion. I believe it’s one of the coolest cars ever! If money have had been no object I would have purchased a 1957 Fireflite Convertible.
◾️Does the car have a name and why?
Her name is Doris, because it was an old school name that just fitted no particular reason.
◾️What restoration/modifications have been performed on the car?
Nothing major small things, deluxe steering wheel, correct 4 barrel manifold and carby and dozens of other small things over the years.
◾️How often do you drive your car?
Around 20 times a year would like it to be more, mostly to car shows in and around Melbourne, although several times a little further afield to Chryslers on the Murray and the Bright Rod Run, it has been a reliable car thus far.
◾️Have you always been into cars, and if so what other cars have you had?
Yes I have always been interested in cars. Other cars I have owned are 1959 FC Holden, 1956 FE Holden, 1966 HR Holden, 1972 VH Charger, 1967 XR Falcon Ute which never made it onto the road.
1978 HZ Holden purchased in December 1991 and 1956 Ford Thunderbird Purchased around August 2005, which I still own along with a 1962 Viscount Caravan.
We joined the Thunderbird club in 2005 and have made some great friends there, we have particularly enjoyed the forward look cruises over the years and in more recent years the Chrysler Restorers Club.
◾️What was your first car?
1959 FC two toned blue and white 4 door, I purchased when I was 16, I still have a soft spot for my first car I would like to own an FC again one day, maybe a wagon.
